Guest Blogger at My Grandma's Teacups

What an exciting project I get to share with you today! Tracy, from My Grandma's Teacups put out a call on Instagram looking for some guest bloggers. I'd seen some posts from her because of Southern Ridge Trading Company and loved how her booth was set up at a tradeshow, so I sent her a quick message and here we are!

Here is a quick pic of my Worn Cover Junk Journal I did for this spot. Worn Cover from TH and of course Distress Oxides, chipboard from Southern Ridge Trading Company, Embossing powders, charms and gemstones from Emerald Creek.

To see all the step outs and the details and close ups head on over to My Grandma's Teacups

Thanks so much for having me over Tracy and thanks everyone for stopping by and heading over to see the details!

Have a great day!

Celebrate with a Wedding Twist

Yes we are still celebrating with a wedding twist over at Mixed Media Mojo! Have you shared your wedding celebration yet? There's still time to add your project on the original post at Mixed Media Mojo HERE

My project this week is a fairly traditional card. Who knew I could be so traditional?! LOL Well okay maybe the little tiny puppy isn't so traditional but he was too cute and he needed to be included. I was so excited to use one of the TH Paper Dolls....thank you so much Jess!! I now have used them on two creations and I kind of want to have people on everything!! :)

And yes, I used Charred Gold Embossing Powder again....another addiction! I need to order more!
To see more details of my project head on over to the Mixed Media Mojo blog today!

Thanks for stopping by and I hopw you all are having a great week!!

World's Best Dad

Have you seen the Wild Whisper Designs newest collection?! You have to and you will need it! The World's Best Collection is amazing and the colours are to die for, anything that includes a little purple is always tops in my books! :) I did a layout of my Dad using the World's Best paper pack, card pack and stamp set and my Distress Ink in Peeled Paint (one of my fave greens). For more detail pics and a quick step out of how I did some of my pieces make sure you head over to the Wild Whisper blog today!

I could go on and on about how awesome my Dad is, because well he is the best, but I don't think there are enough descriptive words in the dictionary to explain how amazing my Dad is. So to keep it short and sweet (like me LOL) I can just tell you how loved he is, how grateful I am that my kids have always had him to look up too and that my son has had him as a role model his whole life. My Dad is my hero and probably the best man I know (aside from my son, so I think it's a tie).
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop over to the Wild Whisper Designs blog to see all the details!

Have a great weekend everyone!

May is for Moms

So excited for the new release from Wild Whisper Designs!! This is one is everything you need to celebrate all the awesome Moms and Dads out there! This collection is called "World's Best" and it is wonderful!
Since this is my 4th Mother's Day without my Mom, I haven't made anything for this day in a long time. I always find this one the hardest of all the important "days" because this was always the newest project in Mom's favorite colours for her gift.
But this year I decided I just needed to make something and as soon as I saw this collection I teared up a bit but then had and idea for a Mother's Day card. So I just went with it :) And this is the card and tealight I created.

For all the details head on over to the Wild Whisper Blog today!!

I love that I can mix my love of Tim Holtz dies and ink with Emerald Creek embossing powder and gemstones and a new David Tutera die to spotlight the new Wild Whisper World's Best Collection!! Stay tuned for a Father's Day project coming up too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It's Wedding Season

Over at Mixed Media Mojo we are kicking off wedding season with our newest challenge! The Challenge - Celebrate with the Twist - Weddings! I hope you join in the fun and share your ideas with us!
I know weddings are to celebrate a couple, but seriously, we know it's all about the dress!! :) So my focus was on a designer wedding gown with the help of TH and Distress Oxides, Emerald Creek, Graphic 45 and a TH embossing folder!

Some passionate couples from the Graphic 45 Vintage Hollywood line and the dress!

Ranger paper, Vintage Photo - Oxide, a quick run through my big shot with the TH Roses folder, then a Fired Brick - Oxide over the tops of the roses.

Just got this embossing folder....LOVE it!

I used a small piece of my stash of grunge paper for the dress form, I wanted it to be a bit more firm than just paper as I was going to be adding to it.

Texture paste over this TH stencil and then once it was dry (I let it dry overnight) I smooshed Fired Brick Oxide over it for the skirt parts.

I also ran my Graphic 45 fussy cut images through with the TH roses too.
Yes I did run some paper through with the roses folder for the bodice, and added some of the gorgeous Quartz gemstones from Emerald Creek to add some detail to the waist area.

Trying to stick with my New Year's resolution to use stuff from my stash and not let things just pile up. So I layered these stickers from my stash over the extra bits after I cut out the skirt for the wedding dress.

Working on my texture, but kept it all the same design so it wasn't too overwhelming.

After the dress was done, I spritzed the dress with Wendy Vecchi's Pearl Mica Spray. I love shimmer!
