Back in the swing of things!

Wow...it has been too long since I've posted and shared projects. There was a tragedy in my family and it has been an emotional time, but  am getting back in the swing of things with my class planning and all this wonderful creative stuff.

I participated in my first swap with an incredibly talented group of demonstrators, my card was a bit late due to the circumstances, but I liked how it turned out. But I must say it was a bit more challenging than I has thought since I only had my starter kit of cardstock.

Supplies Used: Whisper White CS
Wild Wasabi Designer Paper
Baroque Motifs Stamp set
Chocolate Chip Ink Pad
Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon
Mini Library Clips

Tomorrow evening I will add the wonderful cards I received in the swap. But for tonight my second card is from my Upline Allison Okamitsu, welcoming me to the Stampin' Up family and with it she sent some goodies that I will be able to use to keep organized and to help with a future class or stamp group idea. Thanks Allison...YOU ROCK!

Have a great night,
Cathy

Great Evening Out

What a great way to spend a Thursday evening!  Went to a Show and Share Downline Meeting at Kristine's home, got to meet some new people, learn a new technique and Kristine was kind enough to let us use her supplies to get our color charts prepared for our own classes/workshops etc. Got to see some great cards that she has made and got a tutorial on My Digital Studio. This was my first big meeting and I even went with out my mentor Allison to hold my hand lol. I didn't have anything to show or share this time, but I hope I have something for the next meeting as I start using my demo kit and making my swap cards and planning a class or workshop.

The card we made was shown to us by Tova, thank you for the lesson :) It is a simple technique but looks so nice! Can't wait to try this again with other stamps.

Stamped the images with a Versamark pad, embossed them in white, then used pastels to color the petals. Loved how pretty this looks and how straight forward it was to make.

So glad tomorrow is Friday...lots to make and do and glad it's the weekend!

Have a great night!
Cathy
