Christmas Ornaments in June

I think it has been established that I love the beach/ocean/tropical and would create with that theme all the time! I'm very fortunate that lots of my fave companies have that theme! :)

A few weeks ago I shared my first ornament created with fabulous Southern Ridge Trading Company chipboard, you can go back to check out that one HERE
I had a few more pieces left over and decided I needed another ornament. And here is the second one that I created.

The wooden tag is from SRTC and the wood like finish is actually a piece of napkin that I got from PEI last June. I used DW Gel Medium to put it on and it pulled apart in just the right places!

The full wooden tag.

This is where the napkin tore a bit and you can see the wood underneath.

The lobster is embossed in Candy Red and then again with the Fractured Ice over it. The crab is just done in the Candy Red.

Look at that gorgeous little crustacean!

The center word blocks are from Kaisercraft Beach Shack Collection and the baby seashells just had to be added.

I do have one more tag to work on and I plan on creating another beach themed ornament for my Christmas tree :)

April Sketchy Challenge with CSM and Scrap Shotz

The monthly kit from Scrap Shotz features Twilight from One Canoe Two. And the layout design is from the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and their April Sketchy Challenge. Make sure you head on over to Scrap Shotz Blog to see the details of my layout and some close ups. Absolutely love the plaid designs in this collection!!

Yes, I scrapbooked my brochures and my wine!! I also have my footprints in the sand on different beaches to use for a layout too and some weird pics from the Potato Museum! I take a lot of pictures, of a lot of things and a good majority of weird things LOL Or things that don't interest others. I'm a big fan of all the lighthouses we saw out east, the tide rolling in, flowers, doors, windows, and also my family!!

Have a great week everyone!

Love Your Story

Can you ever have too many word dies? I think not! And these Shadow Script #1 Thinlits are a must have, how great is it to have the shadow without all the fussy cutting? Okay, I've attempted the fussy cutting on words and I have not ever been successful with it. TH to the rescue with this amazing set!
More detail pics are over on the Scrap Shotz blog today!

My second project was created using the Sizzix 3-D Bohemian Botanicals and quick spotlight technique.

Cards with Scrap Shotz

Spent some time creating cards with the February Kit from Scrap Shotz.  This month is featuring Vicki Boutin's All The Good Things collection.

Scrap Shotz has such versatile collections for their monthly scrapbook kits! I did a layout last week and this week I made three fairly different cards.

Beside the fact that I love this stamp and paper, I watched Eileen Hull do her Facebook live video and it was all about foiling today! I knew I had to foil this paper for a card. I just used a glue pen because that's what I had, but if you want to see all the other stuff you  could use head on over to see Eileen's video

For more detailed pics and instructions, head on over to Scrap Shotz Snap Shotz and have a look. Also take the time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created with this collection too!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Thanks for stopping in.

And just like that the first month of a new year comes to a close! I hope the start to your year was a good one, and now we head into February! So for a few of my projects up on the Scrap Shotz Blog I made some Valentines! And got wonderfully inky and messy making a tag!

Love the Modascrap Wood Effect paper that is the first layer on this tag and that Tim Holtz Scroll Die..a must have!

Three Valentine cards made with the Hello Sweetheart Collection from Carta Bella. I am such a paper junkie!! I want it all and I want more! :) Don't judge!! LOL

And the last project is a cute little pendant using the Carta Bella Collection for the inside of the pendant and Glossy Accents to fill it in. One day I will have resin but the GA work great.

Beautiful...October Kit from Scrap Shotz

Scrap Shotz has put together such an amazing October Kit featuring Beautiful from Simple Stories. What an amazing line. You seriously can do anything with it! For my projects this time, I did more home decor (I kind of love it) and cards. One of my favorite things about Simple Stories lines is the cut apart sheets, so much you can do with them.

A picture frame that you can change out when ever you feel like you need a new saying

A regular size card with great feather cut outs.

A 5X5 card with layers from the paper pack and the cut apart sheets.
For more detail pictures head on over Scrap Shotz Snap Shotz and while you're there make sure you check out the amazing projects from Katelyn and Rosie this week too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend everyone.

Scrap Shotz October Kit Projects

I was so excited to open the monthly kit from Scrap Shotz!! Beautiful is an amazing line from Simple Stories and it's wonderful! Love the gold highlights, the polka dots, the the florals, it's all great! And of course there are always the 12X12 sheets that you can cut down to the smaller size cards. I did two projects this week, one based on the sketch from PageMaps and one is a storage container for my craft table.

My layout based on the sketch from PageMaps featuring the Scrap Shotz Monthly Kit and my lovely daughter :)

And here is my newly prettied up storage container for my craft table! I like that it's also a bit taller than some I've had and I can put my rulers in it too!

For more detail pics head on over to the Scrap Shotz blog today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great long weekend!
