One of my FAVE classes!

This has got to be one of my favorite stamp sets, paper and side notes sets ever! This was the Attic Boutique Class that includes 4 cards w/matching envelopes and a holder for all the cards. The colors are way out of my comfort zone but I love them now!

And I love how the cards turned out, so pretty! And although they look like tons of work, having the Side Notes that are already punched out and designed really made this set pretty straight forward to make. I love the mini tickets on the bottom left hand card! And the umbrella in its entirety has little pocket watches hanging off it, can't wait to order this set and use it again.

Have a great night everyone!

Great Class Again This Weekend

Spent Saturday night enjoy another great class taught by Allison. This one was call "Big Shot Round 2" and we made a three projects using the Petite Pockets die. I love learning how to make different things using the same die, so many things to create and decorate.

This one fits a pack of gum perfectly, what a great little treat for a hostess gift or anytime to you need more than just one or two things to give out.

Love this one and you can choose any color scheme that you want, and it holds mini lip glosses from Sephora and Avon. Great little favor for a young teen's party or bridal shower etc.

LOVED making this book. The roses turned out great and are actually very straight forward to make.

The inside of the book with the three pockets, great for keeping small things like ticket stubs and small mementos.

Have a great night everyone!

My Digital Studio - Must Have

I have not been one for the digital scrapbooking, but then I`ve not really given it a try. For those of you who are on the fence about this, you have the perfect opportunity to try out some great layouts and ideas with Stampin`Up!`s MDS Express Free 30 Day Trial!!
I downloaded it myself last night and have made a couple small simple projects with it.  I love it and with all the digital downloads available, there is something for everyone and preset layouts are available if you are stuck for ideas. I will be spending more time playing with this over the next few days but am really enjoying this. And even if you use the MDS, once your printed book/card arrives you can still add some little embellishments if you`d like.

The first picture is a Keith Urban card that I did up to print for a few friends of mine who are as obsessed with said fellow as I am :)

This picture is set up as a 12 x 12 scrapbook page and I just chose a couple of pics from our Zoolights trip that was just myself and my kids. It was really a good night and I loved spending time with my babes. Both were done with the My Digital Studio Express Free Trial!

If you`ve ever thought about trying digital scrapbooking....even just for a moment...NOW is the time!!

Have a great night!

Christmas Tree that I Love

I received these images in a swap a couple of years ago. The tree is still in the current catalogue and I just love it.

The tree is in the Snow Swirled set...LOVE it. Added a bit of sparkle with a dab of glue and some silver glitter. Or if you wanted to you could use the smallest silver brads to add some dimension as well. I added the small bow, but you could use a narrow ribbon straight across and add some small buttons too. With this one stamp the possibilities are endless and it can be as involved or as clean and simple as you want it to be.

Have a great night!

Great Projects I Got to Learn Before Christmas

I was bitten with the Stampin' Up! bug about 14 years ago, but in recent years had kind of gotten away from my cardmaking and scrapbooking and stuff. I was so excited when I was re-introduced to these amazing stamps and products again when Allison started work at the place I had just quit from. After a few 7am coffee runs and gettin to know her I went to my first class with some of the girls from my old work. So much fun that first night...and learned some awesome new techniques for these Christmas cards.
I am attaching two of the ones we made, the third has somehow gone missing, I may have left it at my Mom's because I love going to show her what I get to learn :)

I just love the mini safety pins on the first card and I love the Jewelry Tag punch, I have used it for a few things.
We learned the faux metal technique for the Peace on Earth sign and it was so cool, and it is easy to learn and great for adding just that bit of wow to your project.
Thank you Allison for the great class and laughs! Here is the link to the original class listing with a picture of all three of the cards we did. Embossing Frenzy by Allison Okamitsu.

Have a great night all!

So Much To Learn

I have been busy reading and taking notes for part of this wonderful long weekend (other parts required me to have my sweet little purple car towed due to the smoke pouring out of it).
There is so much information to go through that is so helpful in preparing you to be a great demonstrator. And I'm sure that it doesn't all have to be read and memorized in the first few days, but for me it's all in. I find some of it to be common sense kind of things which is so helpful to see in writing, because I know for me when I get so excited about something I sometimes forget basic things lol

I am so glad there is so much valuable information and ideas to help me on this path, and that I also have an amzing mentor/friend that I know I can ask anything and if she doesn't have the answer she will help me find it.  That said though, if I need to take up her time (she is running her business too) I want it to be with things that I haven't seen someplace else, i think that makes better use of time.
I'm sure I have missed some things along the way, which is why I go back and re-read and will go through again and just highlight some things (good thing no one else sees my messy notes).

I am also really looking forward to getting my kit so that I can start creating and planning some classes and having everything be more "real". But later this evening I will put up some pictures of recent classes I have taken and show you some of the great projects that are possible with some of these amazing stamp sets, paper and colors.

Happy Family Day!

Welcome to My New Blog

Happy Thursday everyone!! I have started my new blog to coincide with a new beginning for me. In less that 24 hours I will be starting my career as a Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator! :)

It's a very exciting step for me. Over the years I have thought about it and it's never been the right time, but now in February of 2012 it is the right time.  And how can you go wrong working with tools that you love all the time.

As this is all just beginning in the next day or so, my blog will be lean reading for a little bit. But I will be doing my best to get updates going on here and I will be uploading some pictures of recent stamping and creating nights and the amazing items Allison, my mentor and friend, has been teaching for the last few months.

I am looking forward to all the things I will be learning and creating and sharing with as many people as I can so stay tuned and learn with me when you can.

Have a great day today.
