Tag #9 - Tim Holtz Tags of 2016

Woot Woot!! I am 9 for 9! Tags completed and on time, okay sometimes barely, like this month LOL for Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016. So both techniques were very new to me this month. I haven't used alcohol inks before really, just to dye metal pieces. The tag I stuck with was my 3rd attempt, I'm loving some of it but alcohol inks and I are not best friends yet....but we are going to practice and work on our friendship! :)

The bottom part of my tag with the gears and the pen nib.

I love the gears but I wanted them to have just a bit more oomph, so I embossed the small one with Hammered Metal and the large one with Burnt Copper Leaves, both from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies

The top part of the tag with some of my favorite brads and charms from Emerald Creek.

Love this button brad but wanted just a bit more texture so I embossed it with Charred Gold Embossing Powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope your week has been a creative one!

  1. Awesome tag Cathy! Great take on Tim's challenge! Love how you added extra oomph to the gears!

  2. Absolutely gorgeous Cathy!! Love all the wonderful embellishments.

  3. Wow, Cathy, it looks like you and alcohol inks are old friends! The background looks fabulous and so do all those embossed embellishments! Good for you being 9/9 on the tags! Hugs!
