Tag #2 - Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016

Whew!! Thank goodness for a leap year and the extra day this month!! I'm getting in just under the wire!

I am loving these tags and the new things I am learning every month since I've never participated before!! Here is my second tag...and again, I don't have all the supplies Tim uses so I've used what I have in my stash and I used my brand new Emerald Creek Weathered Wood embossing powder on the words!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!

Words of the Irish

This time around we are all about the Irish over at Emerald Creek Dares Lucky Clover! St. Paddy's Day, all things green, leprechauns, pots of gold and of course....words from the Irish.
There are so many wonderful Irish poets and writers and with all that we do in our creating I thought this quote from George Bernard Shaw was perfect.

Words courtesy of George Bernard Shaw...colors from Tim Holtz Distress and Dyan Reaveley Dylusions and the incredible brads and embossing powder from Emerald Creek! The background is distress spray and the rainbow was done with Gelatos (drew the lines then took a wide paint brush a bit wet and ran it over the Gelatos to blend them a bit. I used a Dylusions stencil and Ranger Clear texture paste (with a touch of gold glitter for some background texture)

Used the Tim Holtz top hat as a leprechaun hat and added the black band embossed with Emerald Creek's Onyx Frost
My own little pot of gold, pot done with Emerald Creek Onyz Frost to add some sparkle and Emerald Creek Antique Silver Metal Circle Dots Brad painted with gold acrylic paint to be the gold coins.

A luck shamrock to share with you, made using Emerald Creek Heart Brads painted with Dylusions Fresh Lime paint, then just a quick brush of Tim Holtz Distress Spray in Lucky Clover over top.
I printed my quote on Emerald Creek Arctic White Cardstock and then used the new Tim Holtz Vintage Collage medium to adhere it and did a light layer over top.

All my wonderful supplies used for this project and yes I only have one each left of my Emerald Creek Brads...because I am addicted to them and put them on everything that I can!!

It's Anything Goes Time!

Yay for another great release from the always inspiring Emerald Creek Design Team!! This time our wonderful leader told us....Anything Goes!!

But instead of falling back on my faves of flowers, purple and dragonflies, I went with something completely new!! Angel Fish and my new addiction....TAGS!! I love them!! I need some of the Ranger ready to go ones, but until then I just cut my own from my Emerald Creek Arctic White Cardstock.

All three of my tags!

Tag #1 - The tag was done with Distress Spray in Broken China and Evergreen Bough and added some white wisps with Ranger Texture paste. The Emerald Creek Angel Fish on the squares were stamped in acrylic paint on my Gelli Plate and then I pulled the print with my Arctic White Cardstock. Center fish was stamped in metallic teal and cut out. The beautiful Emerald Creek angel fish charms were painted with some glue and dipped into german glass glitter by Iced Enamels.

Tag #2 - Background was done by stamping my Angel Fish into paint on my Gelli Plate and pulling the print, left hand side was done with the left over paint and then I just swiped some gesso over it to tone down the color on that side. The saying is a great stamp from my first  Wendy Vecchi stamp set. It's embossed with the Emerald Creek Onyx Frost Embossing Powder and attached with a copper colored angel fish brad.

Tag #3 - Background done again using my Gelli Plate and pulling the print, inked the edges with Black Soot. Center piece edged in Distress Rock Candy Glitter. Center Angel Fish was stamped and embossed with Onyx Frost then watercolored with Distress Spray and brush over lightly in Brushed Pewter. And tucked away in the top corner is my little seahorse from Southern ridge Trading Company.

These angel fish brads are just so detailed and beautiful!

Don't you just love his little smiling face?!

All the little word tags are from my Tim Holtz Small Talk booklet, I should have grabbed two of them when I had the chance.

Also on this background just to add a touch more color, once my print was dry I stamped another layer of Angel Fish in Wendy Vecchi's Violet Archival Ink.
