PINK SATURDAY - MAY 15, 2010

Wow, I can't believe a whole week has passed already. But I'm always happy for Pink Saturday and happy for the fact that Spring might actually be here....FINALLY!! :)

Today's pink is the pink on some of my favorite things.....purses and flip flops :)

Another Week Begins

Happy Monday everyone.

So my second week of being unemployed has begun.  I was laid off just over a week ago from a job that I had been working my butt off at for 3 years, and then totally blindsided by it, I was laid off.

Have been applying for jobs since last week, but no call backs yet.  I am trying to stay positive, but in this economy I'm just not sure how long I keep it up. But I have been using some of my new found "spare" time to make some cards and to re-organize my art and craft supplies.  I am hoping to post pics to this blog of some of the things I have made over the years for people to see and comment on.  I started out making cards, have now dabbled a bit in the scrapbooking arena (but I do have ALL the supplies and then some) and have always wanted to try out collage on large surfaces and also try out the digital medium.

Hopefully using some of my time to be creative and relax will help keep the positve attitude going while I try to find a new job.

A special bunch of PINK tulips for all the Mom's, the one's that haven given birth to the children they love, adopted the children they love, the one's that love their friend's children like they were their own, the one's that step in and love children when their own parents can't, the one's that are called Mom by all the kids that enter their home....ALL the Moms!!

This picture was taken at the Muttart Conservatory in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada over the Easter weekend. Beautiful place to see if your ever up that way."

Today's item is a plate that I painted with old Victorian shoes and pink is the dominant color :)

Last week I think I went through 2 pots of coffee while I visited Pink Saturday blogs. Amazing work ladies and gents! I did not get any housework done on Saturday....I just could not stop browsing!! LOL
