Watercolour Quilt Card

It's true!! I love using Ann Butler's Crafter's Inks to watercolour backgrounds! The watercolour look with such pretty colours! And those Iridescents...so shimmery and they dry so quickly!

If you haven't tried Ann's stamps that she has designed you really need to try them out. They have no edges on the stamp so you can create a perfect continuous pattern.

Here is the completed card, followed by a few step outs!  

I used the Iridescents to create two backgrounds, one is done with a brush and the other is done with sponges.

While the paint was drying (which doesn't take long at all) I stamped my images in Archival Black.

To use the inks as watercolours, I just smoosh the ink pad on my craft mat, small spritz with water, then use my water brushes to add the colour to my image.

When the stamped image was dry, I cut it into 4 pieces and ran it through my Xyron sticker maker, and adhered it black cardstock.

I chose the sponged background for this card. For the border I used Archival Black Ink, and masked off the bottom of my stamp so that I could have a more narrow border.

Found a small wooden word in my stash so I painted that with the Iridescent in Berry.
